I just read in the new Rocksound, in the interview with Ville, he says something about how the band had covered Madonna's song Live to Tell.... while I'm not a huge Mage fan, that is a beautiful song, and that is the 1 Madonna song that I absolutely love, and I myself would love to cover one day. I would LOVE to hear HIM's version, so if anyone would have any clues to help me find this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you darlings ;)

...ABOUT TATOOS
I adore them. On right forearm is a portrait of Finnish writer Timo K. Mukke. Guy has thrilled me with his depressed verses. Well he killed himself with alcohol when he was only 28. On my finger I have tattooed begining letter of my fiancée Jonna (it's much cheaper than a ring). And the big tattoo on my hand arises one drunken evening, but I don't feel sorry for what I've done. I have Heartagram on backside of my neck, and around left nipple was violin key but now it is another Heartagram. And my first tattoo is heart on my right arm and an ornament on my stomach.

...ABOUT ENGAGEMENT
In our group marriage has become a disease. After 3 years of dating I asked Joanna if she would marry me and she said yes. About date we didn't talk yet.

...ABOUT GIGS
We enjoy on our gigs with new album Dark Light, and we are having great time

...ABOUT HAIR
I admit long hair has bored me. Expect that I have a ritual: before recording a new album I cut my hair because everything old I want to leave behind me. It's silly but I'm superstitious. Last time when I cut my hair I looked like jerk but cap solved that problem.

...ABOUT BREAKING HOTEL ROOMS
It's totally stupid sport. At the end you must to pay everything you have broke. I remember last time we were depressed we wanted to wreak on someone and unfortunately it was hotels room.

...ABOUT AFTER PARTYS
surely we have parties after concerts but these are not parties like they used to be when we were drunk till the morning. Now we are older so we need some sleep, and my throat doesn't let me even a one hard party.

...ABOUT THE BIGGEST DISGRACE
Well, when I was 14 I had a big crush on one girl from my school but I could never collect enough courage to say something to her. When I get drunk on one party I wanted to ask her if she wants to go to the movies with me but instead of that from my mouth spit out liters of beer right on her...

HOME

home is where my mother is.Finland is my homecountry, but that doesnt automatically make it my home. Its the place where my mother shepherded/looked after me, protected and sheltered me. Its not depending on houses or flats where Ive lived. Its more of a place you carry in your heart and mind.

TIME

I dont believe in a specified time.A time who starts with your birth and ends when you peg out.The soul keeps existing. Even when the shell of your body falls apart, the spirit is still there. Past, present and future are not existential.

Friendship

True friends are like gummy bears. They are all equal. They differ in colour but not in shape. But if you eat them they become on and you cant keep them apart anymore.

Colour

Colours always stand for some attribute/characteristic.Like Yellow is the colour of envy, the colour purple is the one of the pope. but purple is also the colour of betrayer. And I think those associativities go well together.

GRIEF

Sadness is always prowling around you. Its dangerous, coz she's like a deep blue sea, who slowly drowns you when you're tired and cant defend yourself anymore.

GIRLS

Unfortunately they get prettier year by year. And that's bringing probs along. Our drummer is more than fascinated by those young thingies. We're all trying to protect him of it. He really needs professional help, so it doesnt get out of hand. His behaviour and interest in bloody young girls borders on abnormal, sick behaviour.

LOVE

In my opinion that theme gets overestimated. Love is comparable to blood, its warm but very sensitive and tender.

IDOLS

Theres nothing wronger than the supposedly idols nowadays. What can be good bout an idol whom you can pin on your wall for a few cents? They didnt achieve anything, aside from playing in some movie, or troll some song. The true idols are those of the everyday life. My parents are truly idols to me, they achieved more than any lil popstar.

USA

Unbelievale whats happining right now in new orleans. Ive never thought such pictures from a civilized country, a world power were possible.Corpses are swimming in water and nobody takes care of it. Its a blow below the belt for the states. Now the americans got the quittance for their last elections. Its as shocking how the media make such a hype with these happenings and make money out of it.

WAR

Ive been thinking bout war a lot, until i came to the conclusion that I cant do anything about it. Its a game bout power, money and oil. and we are only lil pawns, in a fight bout power.
I know quite some ppl, who eventho they ve lost relatives on the 09/11, were against the war in afghanistan. Those ppl demonstraed against it and collected signatures. But at the end no one up there cared, eventho they were the victimes and should have been able to decide wether it was worth a war or not.

CHILDREN

They are lil devils, since they are so damn lovable and at the same time hateful. They are lovely little dragons. Of course I wanna have children one day, whom I can tell all those crazy tales Ive lived. Im seriously thinking about adopting a child. Actually we shouldnt be putting more children in this world. There are enough who need our help. But in Finland you can compare adoption with a gauntlet. You gotta fight yourself through a jungle of papers and run from one place to another. Its a good thought but its been made very hard for you. At the time there's talk in Finland bout a new law that wouldnt allow ppl over 50 to adopt any kids, coz they d be too old. Im wondering who comes up with such ideas. There are older kids aswell, and the average age is rising aswell. But if you're 45 its still possible to adopt a kid. Maybe one should focuse on the main thing, which is; there are kids who need help. ANd when there are ppl who've given their contribution to society and then integrate those children into the society again it really shouldnt matter what age you are.

RELIGION

Religion, especially the catholic church is a blasphemy. I wished there would have been an african elected as pope, for a change. But instead they voted the most conservative, one of the most close minded. The pope isnt doing anything but being against abortion and condoms. such stuff makes me sick!

GROUPIES

There's been one girl, but its more than ten years ago.We had sth going on but I didnt sleep with her.I met her backstage. we played chess and talked bout black sabbath and I drank beer. Groupies never were a subject for me.Might be that this is coz we 're all taken. Im engaged and I dont like the idea of sleeping with sb who's only interested in me because I happen to stand on a stage once a week to sing. The interesting bout sex is when you have sb who's more to you than a piece of meat.

POPSTARS

They are doing their job well, since they know how to dance and sing, but they're not real. They get everything taught, even how to act and talk. they are an artificial product who get sold to the record boss'.
For me its like childrenprostitution, since most are kids. day for day, gig for gig and no one dares to say something, since they dont wanna be kicked out. they are all replacable.

HIM
"Dark Light"
(Sire/Warner Brothers)

Ville Valo, leader of HIM, told Revolver magazine that the band's home country was to blame. "Traditional Finnish music is always very melancholy, very sad, and the passion is very exaggerated," he said. But even that doesn't quite explain the gloriously overripe albums, full of blood-drenched ballads and keyboard-driven mini-epics. HIM has become one of the most popular loud rock bands in Europe by finding sweetness in heavy-metal doom and new-wave gloom. On the breakthrough 2000 album, "Razorblade Romance" (Universal), Mr. Valo crooned catchy songs about fatal kisses and cold bodies; he was having fun, but he wasn't kidding.

The sense of morbid melodrama remains on "Dark Light," which could be the CD that carries this band's reputation across the Atlantic. (Fans of Evanescence or Staind should be ripe for conversion.) The songs are sturdier than ever, and they possess a sneaky sort of power; phrases that look laughable on the page (for starters, "Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly") somehow get transformed into grand, singalong refrains. Similarly, the musicians are more versatile than they first seem, moving nimbly from chugging emo to preening synth-rock. Melancholy and unabashedly sentimental, Mr. Valo writes lyrics that make teenage angst more appealing by exaggerating it; there's something decadent about the way he sings, "I cry like God cries the rain," singing a lyric most rock stars would be embarrassed even to think. And the album ends with a clever surprise: a gruff death-metal fadeout that underscores the tunefulness of what came before.
